The history of the brewery del Rio begins in Caldarola, a little village in the heart of Macerata province. In September 2015, after several months of preparation, the first beer was produced and in November 2015, it was launched on the market. The Birrificio del Rio bucks the trend in such hard times, when it is very difficult to promote the economic growth of small villages. It combines the passion for homecraft beer made with natural ingredients, with the love for local history and culture.
These beers are entirely handcrafted, neither filtered, nor pasteurized and they are naturally fermented. The ingredients used are essential: water, malt, hops and yeast. There are also many special beers, which are crafted by master brewers, who know how to blend spices in order to create one-of-a-kind flavours.
